ACHIEVE mentoring

Are you interested in benefiting from an experienced virology mentor?

Starting in 2024, the Academy for Clinical and Experimental Virology (ACHIEVE) offers a one-year mentoring program for young, virology-interested life science and medical students/doctoral candidates/postdocs (maximum 3 years postdoc experience) and physicians (until board certification) who are members of the Society for Virology (GfV). The mentoring program includes a professional coach for all our mentors, who provides input at the beginning of the mentoring process and support throughout the mentoring process when help is needed.

For our first mentoring year, the following steps have been or will be completed:

January 2024             Completion of mentee/mentor matching process

January 2024             Finalization of ACHIEVE Mentoring Agreement

February 2024            Finalization of the ACHIEVE Mentoring Guide

February 22, 2024      Online mentor training with Dr. Silke Oehrlein-Karpi

The call for mentees for our next round will open in the fall of 2024!
